Dave Ward found the mammoth tooth shown above (three angles) in the Peace River in May 2001, and the mastodon tooth in the same river in 2000.
Joe Kurre also found a mammoth tooth in the Peace River in May. Joe has been to Alaska in search of mammoths there, so this was a real treat. He found his within ten feet of Dave's but they don't appear to be from the same animal.
Trips are by reservation, beginning at 9am until 3pm. We are located in the Ft Myers area, but conduct expeditions in areas that are a reasonable driving distance from Tampa, St Pete, Orlando, Sarasota, Naples or Ft Lauderdale.
